Backroom Associate

Position Summary

Manages the receiving and shipment processes for Sam's Club, ensuring compliance with Company policies and the proper organization and documentation of merchandise.

• Maintain and process shipments according to policies by developing and posting delivery schedules.
• Compile and organize receiving reports, verify merchandise counts, route merchandise to proper locations, and handle associated expenses.
• Receive merchandise for the facility, organize and maintain the receiving area while following company procedures and utilizing equipment.
• Merchandise products appropriately and complete all required documentation.
• Track and process claims, return damaged goods, manage liquidation merchandise, and keep the clearance area clean using technology to capture reports.
• Maintain facility safety by following safety standards, conducting safety sweeps, and performing forklift spotting and hazardous‑material handling safely.
• Report unsafe situations to facility management promptly.
• Implement action plans through the Open Door Policy and execute business processes with integrity.
• Prioritize work using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; communicate progress; and identify improvement opportunities.
• Embrace and promote a culture of belonging, teamwork, and integrity; support and mentor others; act humbly and transparently; and put customers and members first.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage at the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
