Refrigeration Technician I (1st Shift: 6am - 2:30pm)

Onsite

• Set up and conduct prescribed performance testing on refrigerated display cases in accordance with defined industry and company standards and practices.
• Evaluate test data and recommend case changes to achieve testing standards.
• Brazing copper to copper, brass, aluminum or other dissimilar metals.
• Maintain test facility and equipment, ensuring that test equipment is in proper working order; perform preventative maintenance.
• Understand blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• EPA 608 Level 2 or Universal Certification.
• Able to read and understand piping and electrical schematics.
• Minimum 1 year experience with the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing of commercial or residential HVAC and/or refrigeration equipment.
• Experience with/working knowledge of refrigerated display cases, electrical systems, and refrigeration controls.
• Manufacturing, testing or other hands‑on experience with refrigeration equipment.
• Career Studies Certificate or other applicable certification in HVAC refrigeration.
• Experience with/knowledge of Control Board (Dixell, Carell, etc).
• Experience working on HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, including electrical and energy management controllers;
  Journeyman or higher level technician.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

• May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling.
• Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).
• Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
