Summary

A Customer Delivery Driver for Capital Electric is responsible for checking and loading material onto truck, delivering material to customers or Capital Electric branch in a timely, professional manner, and forming positive customer relationships to ensure the correct material reaches the customer while maintaining the reputation of providing a reliable and accountable delivery service.

Responsibilities
  • Check material in staging area and load truck
  • Create shipping manifests
  • Perform truck maintenance inspections
  • Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
  • Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
  • Unload and place material as requested by the customer
  • Provide good customer service
  • Pick‑up customer returns and unload truck
  • Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Be on time and work diligently with co‑workers
  • Multi‑task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
  • Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years driving experience – 20 ft. box truck
  • Must be able to pass the DOT physical
  • No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
  • Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
