A Customer Delivery Driver for Capital Electric is responsible for checking and loading material onto truck, delivering material to customer or Capital Electric branch in a timely professional manner, and forming positive customer relationships to ensure the correct material reaches the customer while maintaining the reputation of providing a reliable and accountable delivery service.
Responsibilities:
- Check material in staging area and load truck
- Create shipping manifests
- Perform truck maintenance inspections
- Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
- Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
- Unload and place material where customer requests
- Provide good customer service
- Pick-up customer returns
- Unload truck of customer returns
- Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
- Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
- Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years driving experience – 20 ft. box truck
- Must be able to pass the DOT physical
- No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
- Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
