As a Logistics Operator Level 5 (Team Lead) you will provide day‑to‑day leadership for warehouse operations while ensuring materials are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently to support production. You will coordinate team activities, monitor inventory movement, assign daily work, and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Lead daily warehouse operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate material movement.
- Assign daily work priorities and coordinate team activities to meet production schedules.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, inspect, store, pick, kit, and deliver materials to production lines.
- Process warehouse transactions using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Complete forklift inspections prior to operation and report equipment concerns.
- Ensure warehouse processes are executed according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and support material replenishment activities.
- Coordinate shipping documentation, trailer closures, and receiving activities.
- Support return material processing and inventory balancing.
- Promote and enforce all LEGO safety policies and procedures.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating safe work practices.
- Confirm accurate system transactions for inventory movement and material supply.
- Conduct effective shift handoffs to ensure operational continuity.
- Monitor warehouse equipment, including forklifts, scanners, and radios.
- Coordinate employee attendance for required safety training, LOTO training, and compliance programs.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse and forklift operating experience, including leading or directing warehouse employees.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Basic computer and handheld scanner proficiency.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Ability to work a 12‑hour E Shift schedule (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP or similar warehouse management software.
- Experience coaching or mentoring employees.
- Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
