Overview

Accounts Payable Specialist — Gavin Heath is partnering with a client in Colorado Springs, CO, to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. The role is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or full-time conversion.

• Manage accounts payable processes, specifically focused on IT-related expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client accounting policies.
• Prepare and deliver detailed AP reports that meet organizational standards and facilitate smooth transitions between fiscal years.
• Collaborate closely with IT and Accounting teams to ensure cost-effective management of expenses and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyze vendor invoices and payments for discrepancies, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Reconcile accounts payable records and provide financial insights to internal stakeholders.
• Support the setup and organization of IT-related costs for the upcoming fiscal year.

• Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting roles, preferably with a focus on IT-related accounts payable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
• Understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
• Ability to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, with some hybrid flexibility after onboarding.
