Core Role Scope

As a Payroll Specialist on Phil Long Dealerships' Centralized Payroll Team (onsite in Colorado Springs, CO 80905), you provide senior‑level ownership of accurate, timely pay for a multi‑location operation—protecting compliance, trust, and operational continuity.

• Prepare, process, and validate payroll each cycle; verify entries and maintain payroll records
• Enter and update employee data in the payroll system with strict confidentiality
• Perform basic reconciliations/audits and resolve variances to drive outcomes
• Respond to pay‑related questions from employees with clear, professional communication

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years related experience (or 2 years plus specialized training/certification)
• Strong Excel proficiency and detail‑focused data accuracy
• Sound problem‑solving judgment and effective written/verbal communication
