Staff Accountant Contract-to-Permanent

Robert Half is partnering with a growing Colorado Springs organization to identify a Staff Accountant who is ready to make an immediate impact. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting detail oriented who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working closely with accounting leadership in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable bringing ideas to the table while helping streamline accounting operations.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Analyze variances and research accounting discrepancies.
• Assist with audit preparation and requested schedules.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies.
• Partner with accounting leadership on special projects and ongoing initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
