Accounting Assistant

Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position will support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions and is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Experience

Required:

Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

• Assist with accounts payable
• Enter and process invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions
• Reconcile accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with credit card and expense reconciliation
• Prepare and organize reports and spreadsheets
• Assist with vendor and customer account inquiries
• Support the accounting department with month-end tasks
• Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting records
  
  Perform general administrative duties as needed

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or similar experience required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
• Experience with accounting software preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately
