Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing a broad range of clerical support for the Accounts Receivable Department within Ascend Clinical. The position is responsible for receiving, sorting, entering, and distributing incoming mail and faxes. Sorts and mails claims, invoices, and other documents to appropriate insurance carriers and/or clients. Provides both scanning/indexing support and creates/files information in support of the billing process.

This position will ensure that all tasks assigned are accomplished in an efficient, effective, and timely manner. This is an onsite role in our Colorado Springs office.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides general support for administrative functions and processes that support a department and its team members
  • Performs reception duties utilizing various systems including fax machine, scanner, mail services, and email and copy services
  • Opening, sorting, logging, scanning, and filing mail and faxes received by the Accounts Receivable Department
  • Support the registration, benefit verification, and billing process through entry of assignment of benefits, correspondence, insurance cards, and other information into the electronic billing and document imaging system
  • Prints, sorts, and mails patient and facility invoices, letters, and other documents as needed. Responds to requests for records and other information from staff and clients needed to support the department

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or GED
  • 1 year experience providing a broad range of clerical support
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
  • Experience working in accounts receivable, mail room and/or medical records department preferred
  • The ability to accurately and quickly log documents, lookup account numbers and scan documents received

Compensation:

- $21/hr
