Job Summary

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and enjoys being the go-to problem solver? As a Program Coordinator with El Paso County Public Health, you’ll play a critical role supporting 7–9 vital Environmental Health programs that directly protect and serve our community—including Air Quality, Child Care, Schools, Water Recreation, Body Art, and more. This is a highly interactive, public-facing position where no two days are the same.

From processing applications and managing invoices to answering questions from the public and community partners, you’ll be at the center of meaningful public health work that keeps programs running smoothly and efficiently.

This role is ideal for a strong multitasker who brings excellent time management, data entry, and customer service skills, and who is comfortable making phone calls, handling sensitive situations, and balancing competing deadlines. You’ll work closely with a collaborative program and administrative team, supported by clear SOPs and structured processes, while using systems like Health Space to track applications, payments, and compliance.

If you have experience with collections, de-escalation, or high-volume administrative work—and you’re motivated by teamwork, purpose, and serving the public—this full-time, in-office opportunity offers a rewarding way to build your career while making a visible impact in the community.
