Disabling Barriers is a non-profit grant-making organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD). The organization provides funding to charitable organizations offering research, advocacy, equipment, and services that empower the pediatric and young adult special needs community in southern Colorado. Role DescriptionThe Part-Time Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing various clerical tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing essential support to the team. Day-to-day tasks will include drafting social media posts, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized records and files. This is a virtual role with some on-site duties in Colorado Springs and offers a flexible part-time schedule to support organizational needs.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance
- Strong Communication skills and Etiquette
- Experience with Clerical Skills, including file management and data entry
- Organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual and office environment
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office Suite, Meta Business Suite, Zoom, and Canva
- Experience with managing social media, tracking deadlines, data management are preferred
- Previous experience in a foundation, non-profit or similar field is a plus
- Associate or Bachelor degree required; additional certifications in communication, AI platforms, administration or grant management are an advantage
