Information & Assistance Volunteer (Front Desk/Phone Line)

Help Older Adults in the Pikes Peak region get connected to the right resources—fast. As an Information & Assistance Volunteer, you'll be a friendly, professional first point of contact on our phone line and provide light office support that keeps our team running smoothly.

· Answer and triage incoming calls; listen, identify needs, and share appropriate community resources

· Route calls to the correct in-office staff and take clear messages when needed

· Provide light administrative support (data entry, printing, scanning, filing)

· Log basic call details and outcomes to support quality service

· Keep resource lists current (with staff guidance) and flag new events/programs we learn about

Ideal for someone who likes a consistent, office-style rhythm (4 hour minimum with additional hours available).

Start date:

ASAP after orientation.

Orientation to our phone system, privacy practices, and resource directory. Ongoing support from Information & Assistance staff—work independently with a team at your back. All materials provided.

Warm phone manner, reliability, and comfort using a computer for lookups and note-taking. Ability to handle confidential information with care. Bonus: prior office/administrative experience, social services interest, or bilingual skills.

Encore/retired volunteers who want a meaningful, office-based schedule without heavy lifting. Students/early-career volunteers seeking real administrative experience or practicum/credit hours

Flexible schedule with plenty of ways to help. Learn the local network of agencies serving Older Adults. Hear about community events, programs, and classes we're invited to and informed about. Insight into Boards, Commissions, and Advisory Councils that shape policy across our region.
