TMI Calibration, established in 1991, is an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory offering comprehensive calibration, repair, and asset management services for test equipment. With multiple full-service labs across the U.S., TMI specializes in providing automated and on-site calibrations, clean room certifications, and custom solutions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our calibration lab. This role combines administrative support, data entry, and inventory management to ensure accuracy in laboratory and warehouse operations. Responsibilities include assisting managers and employees with daily office tasks while maintaining efficient administrative processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Support quality control efforts and maintain lab cleanliness.
  • Manage office tasks such as filing, ordering supplies, updating policies, and preparing reports.
  • Answer calls, direct inquiries, and assist with customer service communication.
  • Provide administrative support, coordinate with internal/external clients, and assist visitors.
  • Handle warehouse tasks, including packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Assist drivers with delivery preparations.
  • Represent TMI in management meetings and quality audits.
  • Perform general office duties to ensure smooth workflow/ organization and additional assigned duties.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Must have proven experience in administrative support.
  • Strong knowledge of office management systems, procedures, and equipment (e.g., printers, fax machines).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration and client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

    High school diploma required; additional administrative or secretarial qualifications are a plus.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
