Description

Colorado Living, a subsidiary of Sage Home LLC, is looking to add an experienced Permit Coordinator to our team. We are growing at an explosive rate, servicing most of Colorado and part of Utah!

This position will oversee the building permit coordination with multiple municipalities across Colorado and Utah.

We are seeking someone that preferably has familiarity with home remodel building permits, ideally in the construction industry, and is a self-starter with a great work ethic, but we are equally happy to train the right candidate with a background outside of building permits. Earnings – this is a non-exempt position.

$20 - $22/hr.

Job Summary

As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained efficiently and in compliance with local and state muncipalities. You will be responsible for coordinating the permitting process, liaising with regulatory agencies, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders to guarantee smooth and timely project execution.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Permit Acquisition:
    Research and identify the required permits and licenses for specific projects. Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor the status of permit applications and ensure timely approvals.
  • Communication and Liaison:
    Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and regulatory authorities. Establish and maintain positive relationships with permitting agencies. Communicate effectively with internal teams to gather necessary information for permit applications.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    Maintain accurate and organized records of all permits, licenses, and related documentation. Ensure that all permits are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provide support during inspections to verify compliance with permit conditions.
  • Project Coordination:
    Collaborate with project managers and other relevant stakeholders to understand permit requirements for each project. Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for permit submissions and approvals. Alert project teams to potential permitting issues and propose solutions.
  • Policy and Regulation Monitoring:
    Stay informed about changes in regulations and policies that may impact the permitting process. Update internal teams on any new requirements or regulations affecting permits.
  • Schedule post installation inspections with municipalities.

Requirements
  • Structured familiarity with scheduling inspections.
  • Experience with CAT 2 Diagram creations is a plus.

  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for permit tracking and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
