Position: Business Operations Intern (Summer 2026)
COLSA is seeking high-performing, degree-seeking college interns for the Summer 2026 term (June 1-July 31). Interns will gain hands-on experience through meaningful work that directly supports COLSA's mission and the business operations of our Colorado Springs branch office.

During this internship, you will:

* Participate in regional office meetings and provide recommendations for improvement

* Review and evaluate corporate capabilities and applicability to government contracts

* Conduct market and competitive research to support capture activities

* Identify capability gaps and conduct research to identify potential partners to address them

* Review literature, articles, and published materials to better understand government customer needs and challenges

* Support engagement with potential partner companies to explore teaming and shaping efforts

* Evaluate vendor capabilities to assess ability to provide required products or services

Required Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Actively enrolled in a related undergraduate degree program in Business, Marketing, or Management no later than the start of the internship (June
1)

* Junior or Senior standing at the time the internship begins (June
1)

* Foundational role-specific knowledge or skills required, such as:

* Usage of Microsoft Office

* Some experience with conducting research activities

* Strong communication skills

* U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to successfully undergo criminal background check prior to start of employment.

* Relocation assistance or a housing stipend is not provided

Preferred Qualifications

* Coursework, academic projects, or hands-on experience related to business, marketing, or management

* Prior related internship, co-op, research, or part-time experience

* Participation in related student organizations, research, competitions, or leadership activities

* Exposure to relevant tools, technologies, or methodologies such as:

* Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

* Database tools

The salary range, if referenced, represents a good faith estimate. COLSA considers various factors when determining base salary offers, but not limited to, location, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
