About the Company
Our organization operates a family of M&A advisory firms focused on healthcare practice transitions, including Professional Transition Strategies, Headwaters Practice Transitions, and Lux Med Transition Strategies. This includes physician-led and procedure-driven specialties such as Allergy & Immunology, ENT, Pain Management, Concierge Medicine (multi-provider), Compounding Pharmacies, Vein & Vascular clinics, Orthopedics, and Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs), as well as select adjacent specialties such as Women’s and Men’s Health, Sleep Medicine, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, OBGYN, and infusion-based clinical services.
These are representative of the types of specialty medical practices we work with, not an expectation that a candidate has experience across all of them. This vertical will expand our national footprint and deepen our presence in high-growth, physician-driven sectors. The
The Managing Director will be responsible for growing our Specialty Medical M&A vertical. This individual will serve as the senior market-facing driver of the business, focused on relationship development, industry presence, and long-term growth. While prior M&A experience is not required, a deep understanding of the specialty medical landscape and a well established industry network are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Managing Director will serve as the Specialty Medical’s primary industry ambassador and growth driver.
- Building and expanding relationships that generate sustained deal flow across specialty medical practices
- Leveraging an existing industry network while developing new partnerships with physicians, practice owners, CPAs, attorneys, consultants, and trusted advisors
- Representing the firm within specialty medical communities through conferences, associations, and industry events
- Working closely with internal teams to support execution, client experience, and operational alignment
- Driving revenue growth and long-term success for the Specialty Medical vertical
- Ten+ years of experience working in, alongside, or in direct service to specialty medical practices, with depth in one or more areas, including the following examples:
Physician-practice operations or management, Healthcare services organizations or specialty-care networks, Advisory, consulting, or industry-facing roles supporting specialty medical providers
Proven ability to build credibility, trust, and long-term relationships within the specialty medical ecosystem.
Network & Industry Connectivity- Strong, active relationships with specialty physicians and practice owners
- Connections with healthcare consultants, advisors, CPAs, and attorneys
- Familiarity with ASC operators, ancillary service providers, and specialty-care networks is a plus, but not required
- Recognized presence or reputation within specialty medical community
- Depth of relationships in a specific specialty or subset of specialty medical is expected; breadth across all specialties is not required
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from the ground up
- High credibility with physicians and healthcare executives
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills
- Comfortable in a growth-oriented, performance-driven environment

- No M&A experience required, though preferred
