$27.00 - $34.00 per hour. This position is considered non‑exempt under the FLSA. Final pay will be based on internal equity, salary ranges, job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

🚀 About the PositionWe are looking for a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our growing team based out of Colorado Springs. You will work directly with our construction managers and project engineers to observe and inspect transportation construction projects. As a Construction Inspector, you should be able to perform the following basics:
- Develop and maintain effective documentation, including daily reports with photos.
- Inspect, monitor, and evaluate construction work to ensure compliance with codes, ordinances, regulations, and specifications.
- Evaluate construction materials (e.g., concrete, aggregates, pavements, soils) and verify dimensions and elevations against blueprints.
- Observe and evaluate construction activities for general conformance to contract documents.
- Use standard inspection tools such as measuring tape, smart level, measuring wheel, soils probe, mobile devices, and metering devices.
- Present findings and collaborate on issue resolution.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and report unsafe conditions.
- Continuously identify, anticipate, and prevent safety, health, and hazard concerns.
- Minimum of 2 years of transportation construction inspection experience.
- Relevant inspection certificates (e.g., erosion control, OSHA 10‑hr Construction Safety, OSHA confined space entry, CDOT Basics, Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor, Work Zone Traffic Control).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, cloud‑based file servers, and GIS asset management software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing.
- Mature interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self‑motivated to meet goals and maintain accountability in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to complete tasks while working remotely from an equipped vehicle or project field office.
