. NCC operates in three primary regions:

  • Northern Colorado Front Range
  • Denver Metropolitan Area
  • Greater Colorado Springs

This role reports directly to senior leadership and ownership and is responsible for overseeing projects from mobilization through closeout, while supporting preconstruction and coordination efforts.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to lead field operations on complex civil construction projects throughout Colorado. This position is responsible for day-to-day site management, crew supervision, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements. As a key leader in the field, the Superintendent serves as the primary link between project management, field crews, subcontractors, and inspectors, driving productivity, quality, and accountability from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all daily field operations for assigned construction projects.
  • Lead preconstruction planning efforts, including schedule development, site logistics, and sequencing.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Conduct and lead project meetings, including subcontractor coordination and safety meetings.
  • Maintain responsibility for overall site safety, enforcing NCC safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Supervise site crews and subcontractors, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate material procurement, equipment needs, and delivery logistics.
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting, including time sheets, job summaries, production tracking, and cost-related metrics.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers and the administrative team to align field execution with project budgets and schedules.
  • Perform technical layout and oversight related to grading, drainage, water control, dewatering, and BMP implementation.
  • Ensure all permits, environmental requirements, and inspection standards are met and documented.
  • Identify field challenges proactively and implement practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.
Qualifications/

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in heavy civil construction.
  • Strong background in drainage, stormwater, earthwork, utilities, and structural concrete preferred.
Education:
  • Degree in construction management or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Equivalent field experience will be strongly considered.

  • Strong leadership and crew management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction means and methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality control practices.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across field and office teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficiency with basic construction technology and reporting tools.
