Laborer Crew Lead
We are seeking a dedicated laborer crew lead to join our team, performing various construction tasks, including carpentry work, crew oversight, and general labor at commercial construction sites. This role offers a chance to work alongside experienced crew members and gain valuable construction skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform various construction tasks including carpentry work and general labor at commercial construction sites.
- Oversee crews of 3-5+ individuals at once.
- Work alongside established crew members to learn construction skills and techniques.
- Follow directions from experienced superintendents on job site tasks.
- Assist with site cleanup and organization as needed, including sweeping and material handling.
- Participate in safety training and follow company safety protocols on job sites.
- Work on projects ranging from 8 months to 2 years in duration at locations such as zoo and high school construction sites.
Essential Skills
- General labor and construction experience.
- Crew leadership experience.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks as needed on job sites.
- Skill with hand tools and power tools.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Eagerness to learn the construction trade.
- Experience with a tape measure.
- Fresh out of tech school or high school acceptable.
- Shop class experience preferred.
- Volunteer experience valued.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.

Work Environment
Work from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a half-hour lunch and morning and afternoon 15-minute breaks. The 40-hour work week may include overtime depending on the situation. You will work at various job sites throughout the Pikes Peak region in the Colorado Springs area, paired with established crew members and experienced carpenters. The company values communication and flexibility, with projects at locations including zoo and high school construction sites.
You may work at one site for an extended duration or rotate between sites weekly, depending on project needs. Job site appropriate attire is required, including steel-toed boots.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
