Heavy Equipment Operators are needed by Tepa Companies for construction projects based in Colorado Springs, with potential travel to surrounding states. Operators will handle a variety of equipment and may also perform laborer duties as required. • 10+ years’ experience operating construction equipment (excavators, loaders, graders, scrapers, skid loaders, rollers)
• Knowledge of power and hand tools, materials, and equipment used on construction sites
• Knowledge of excavation and back filling methods, practices, and procedures
• Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA standards
• Ability to communicate clearly with site personnel
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Ability to listen to and understand verbal and written directions
• Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and attention to detail
• Ability to work with crew members
• Ability to travel as required
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check in compliance with federal regulation
