This position is available to begin summer 2026 or fall 2026.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 / academic year. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
The Department of Counseling and Human Services in the College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time Instructor position in the CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs. Preferred candidates will hold a Master's Degree or higher with training and experience with undergraduate students and remote or distance delivery of instruction;
(4/4 teaching load; undergraduate courses in human services and summer teaching are also available); maintaining an advising caseload of graduate and undergraduate students; supervising practicum and internship students; and providing service to support the department, college, and university (when relevant).
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in counseling and human services using trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally responsive pedagogies. Employ evidence-based instructional strategies that support diverse learners and integrate real-world application of course concepts.
* Design and deliver engaging lessons across multiple formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities. Use educational technologies and digital platforms to enhance accessibility, interactivity, and student learning outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with faculty in curriculum design, course alignment, and co-teaching opportunities that model interdisciplinary, team-based approaches to human services education. Ensure course content reflects current practices and licensure competencies..
