Assistant Professor of Economics and Business – Tenure‑Track
Job SummaryThe Department of Economics and Business at Colorado College invites applications for a tenure‑track assistant professor specializing in macroeconomics, beginning Fall 2026. The department offers four undergraduate degrees (Economics, International Political Economy, Mathematical Economics, and Business, Economics, and Society) and engages students through immersive pedagogy, field trips, community‑engaged work, and group projects. Colorado College operates a Block Plan, with professors teaching one course at a time over three‑and‑a‑half‑week blocks;
the assistant professor will have a six‑block teaching duty in the eight‑block year, with one block available for supervising senior and independent projects.
Teach five courses annually and advise senior theses (counts as a sixth course), maintain an active research program, and contribute to college service.
Minimum Qualifications- Ph.D. in Economics or related field by the start of employment.
- Research in macroeconomics.
- Undergraduate teaching experience.
- Field or research experience in international economics.
