Pay Type: Hourly

Compensation
  • Pay range: $17-$20/hour
  • Benefits:
    For employees contracted for 30 hours per week or more, Thomas Mac Laren School pays for 100% of the employee’s base insurance premiums (Health, Dental, Vision, Long-term and Short-term disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance, and Life insurance) for the base level coverages. No benefits are provided to employees contracted for less than 30 hours per week.
  • General

    Purpose:

    To assist classroom teachers in implementing the curriculum and providing student support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty members in implementing the curriculum and completing logistical and administrative tasks
  • Work in small groups or one-on-one with students who need academic, behavioral, or Social Emotional Learning (SEL) intervention.
  • Assist the Exceptional Student Services (ESS) and Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams in implementing student plans (IEPs, 504s, MTSS and READ plans, etc.)
  • Assist faculty in implementing academic and behavior plans
  • Receive training in pedagogy, curriculum, and protocols in order to be maximally effective with students
  • Fulfill regular monitoring duties (e.g., lunch, recess, traffic, etc.)
  • Any other duties as assigned

Education: High School degree;
Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred.

  • Commitment to a diverse population of students and to closing the achievement gap
