Pay RangeGenerally starting at $4,000 - $5,000 per3-credit hour course. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience, qualifications, and teaching assignments. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Work LocationDetermined by course modality:
On-campus(typically), online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities maybe available under certain conditions.
The College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs hires Lecturers in Electrical and Computer Engineering for temporary, non-tenure track positions to fill open sections of courses across the curriculum.
Appointments are part-time (usually less than 50% time) and will bemade semester-by-semester.
This position will teach classes for the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. Examples of courses/subject area include the following:
- Problem solving with C,Python
- Logic Circuit II – ECE
2411 - Circuits Analysis
- Computer Architecture
- _Advance Verification Methodology
- Signal Processing and Communications
- Control systems
- Electromagnetics
- Microelectronics
- System Engineering
- _Rapid Prototyping With FPGAs
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but arenot limited to:
- Provide instruction to undergraduate/graduate students based oncourse modality including class and/or lab preparation,administering exams, grading, and maintaining office hours.
- Maintain, develop and schedule student learning experiences toachieve desired learning outcomes.
- Plan, develop, and implement evaluation tools to assess student progress towards course learning objectives.
- Be familiar with learning management systems, such as Canvas.
- Other duties as determined by the Department Chair.
This is an evergreen Lecturer Pool for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering lications will be reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis as business needs arise.

Employment start dates will varybased on course scheduling needs and will align with the start ofthe relevant academic semester.
Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided tofaculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, or retirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.
