The Classical Academy is seeking an Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grades K-6) to implement a positive learning environment, support our mission, and align with The Classical Academy philosophy.

• Creates a positive classroom atmosphere to support individual student learning.
• Plans and follows comprehensive classroom management strategies.
• Models virtuous character traits and promotes growth in wisdom, virtue, and compassion.
• Develops curriculum and lesson plans consistent with the Academy’s philosophy.
• Creates and administers assessments to monitor student progress and prepares biannual participation reports for parents.
• Communicates regularly with parents via class announcements, assignments, and newsletters.
• Attends meetings, conferences, and in‑services as required.
• Prepares and participates in RtI, PST, and SPED meetings.
• Coordinates special events and field trips to enrich the curriculum.
• Works with parents to ensure student success and collaborates with other classroom teachers within grade level.

• Serves on curriculum and planning committees.
• Assumes additional duties such as recess, lunchroom, or carpool monitoring as needed.
• Supports and enforces Academy policies such as uniform and attendance.

• Bachelor’s degree required; preference for a baccalaureate in Education.
• Must meet TCA requirements for a highly qualified elementary teacher.
• Experience teaching in an elementary classroom is preferred.
• Completion of Spalding training (provided) and willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and medical certification.

• Knowledge of The Classical Academy’s educational philosophy, Core Values, The Titan Creed, and school procedures.
• Familiarity with curriculum materials for K-6.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and the broader community.
• Capacity for flexibility, patience, organization, and prioritization in a fast‑paced environment.
• Competence in data analysis to differentiate instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team setting and support a positive school climate.

Students, parents, volunteers, support staff, peers, supervisors, guest teachers, other departments, and school visitors.

Classroom teaching with occasional monitoring duties; normal school hours plus additional hours as required. Typical physical demands include frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination, sitting for most hours, occasional standing, walking, driving, and lifting up to 35 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. for pushing/pulling.

• Competitive pay: $47,037 – $50,902 plus a $1,200 welcome bonus (pro‑rated by FTE).
