The Athletic Trainer is responsible for preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries and illnesses for K-12 student-athletes. This position continuously monitors student-athlete health and physical conditions, evaluates injuries and illnesses, develops and implements appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans, and makes recommendations regarding participation, return to play, and ongoing care. The Athletic Trainer communicates regularly with the Athletic Director, coaches, families, physicians, and other medical professionals to ensure coordinated and appropriate care for student-athletes.

The Athletic Trainer reports to the Athletic Director and works collaboratively with coaches, school administrators, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
