Space Operations Instructor (NSSI

Overview

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Space Operations Instructor to support course delivery and development at the National Security Space Institute (NSSI) Peterson SFB, CO. The instructor will conduct lessons, develop, implement, validate, and maintain educational and course materials, and coordinate with NSSI personnel to deliver courseware per customer specifications.

• Instruct lessons across online, blended, in-resident, and mobile formats as required.
• Develop, implement, validate, and maintain lesson plans and materials in accordance with USAF Instructional System Development (ISD) guidelines.
• Assist in the coordination, development, and maintenance of assigned lessons.
• Collaborate with government, civilian, and contractor personnel to develop and deliver courseware IAW customer specifications.
• Maintain and deliver all aspects related to course execution.
• Travel up to 25% of time annually, including occasional weekend travel.

• Postgraduate level adult education instructor and curriculum developer.
• Instruct in areas of SME and additional subject areas as required, supporting online, blended, in-resident and mobile courses of the NSSI.
• Qualify and deliver classroom instruction as assigned consistent with ISD principles and NSSI Instructions to satisfy government course delivery requirements.
• Interface with internal and external agencies and customers to maintain up-to-date education program materials and provide strategic guidance in the adoption of modern digital learning experiences.
• Working knowledge of USSF Space Competencies.
• Working knowledge of Commercial, Civil, and DoD space capabilities and operations.
• Working knowledge and experience with training and education systems and programs.
• Working knowledge of DoD operational-level command and control.
• Working knowledge of US Space strategies, policies, and doctrine.
• Working knowledge of United States Combatant Commands.
• Working knowledge of US partners in space.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field (eight years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement).
• Top‑Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree.
• Experience with DoD training/education, including planning, developing, and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model, training records keeping and documentation.
• Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development, and strategic direction.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000. Please note the salary information is a general guideline only.
