Lecturer - Business Law (Pool)

UCCS is seeking part‑time lecturers for the College of Business. Applications reviewed on a semester‑by‑semester basis as need arises.

$3,900 - $5,000 for a 3-credit hour course. Pay rate depends on the number of courses taught, level of courses, and educational level of lecturer. Position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime provisions.

Determined by course modality: on‑campus, online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.

The College of Business will maintain a pool of Lecturers in Business Law for part‑time (less than 50% time) appointments, made semester‑by‑semester. Lecturers will teach classes in basic business law and accounting ethics. Classes may be on‑campus, online, or hybrid.

UCCS will not sponsor work visas or permanent resident applications. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization or an employment‑based visa. Applicants should reside in Colorado or be prepared to relocate within two months of starting employment.

• Provides instruction to undergraduate/graduate students bothin-person and online courses.
• Maintains, develop and schedules student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
• Plans, develops, and implements evaluation tools to assess student process towards course learning objectives.
• Be familiar with learning management systems, such as Canvas.
• Other duties as determined by the College of Business.

• A Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school is required.
• At least one year of practice experience in an area of business law or a closely related field is required.
• Applicants with prior and relevant teaching experience are preferred.
