The Department of Economics and Business at Colorado College invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Economics and Business with a specialization in marketing, to begin Fall 2027.
Colorado College is a nationally recognized, residential liberal arts and sciences college enrolling approximately 2,100 students from across the U.S. and around the world. The college offers an expansive undergraduate curriculum that reflects an interdisciplinary approach to economics and business.
Responsibilities- Teach five courses annually and advise student senior theses (effectively a sixth course).
- Maintain an active research program.
- Participate in college service.
- Ph.D. or DBA in Business or a related field (ABD candidates will also be considered).
- Excellent teaching promise.
- Ability to teach Consumer Marketing (BU326) and other marketing courses.
- Willingness to teach two additional courses each year in the broader departmental and general‑education curriculum, such as Introduction to Business and Society (BU201), Principles of Financial Accounting (BU205), Society, Business, and Economics (BU310), Business Analytics (BU318), Qualitative Research Methods (BU319), First‑Year Critical Inquiry Seminar (CC100), or First‑Year Writing Seminar (CC120). No prior experience with these courses is required.
- Active research agenda aimed at peer‑reviewed publications commensurate with selective liberal‑arts institutions.
- Undergraduate teaching experience (preferred).
