Position: SPECIAL NEEDS INCLUSION COORDINATOR

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to provide a comprehensive inclusive approach to serving children and youth, ages six weeks to 18 years, with medical, educational, or other identified needs participating in Department of Defense (DoD) Child and Youth Programs (CYP).

Duties include:

Classroom/Program inclusions support to include administering, implementing, and monitoring inclusion supports and behavior support processes in classrooms and programs by Department of the Air Force CYP Inclusion Guide.

Child & Youth Program (CYP) professional education & coaching is coordinated with the Training & Curriculum Specialist (T&Cs) to provide regular training and coaching opportunities.

Supports the identification (Non-Clinical assessment) of needs and classroom supports for children and youth through observations conducted by CYP professionals.

Works collaboratively and maintains a network with military and community agencies to provide access for interventions and other needed service.
