Job SummaryWe are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher dedicated to creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for young learners and their families. In this role, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support the holistic growth of each child, guided by observation and assessment. Collaboration and flexibility are key, as you will work closely with colleagues and adapt to varying classroom needs.
Compliance with Colorado Department of Human Services and Health Department licensing standards is essential. This position also champions diversity, equity, and inclusion within our campus community.
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of the classroom; ensure materials, equipment, and environment are safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate.
- Plan and implement daily activities and meaningful experiences for small groups, large groups, and individuals to enhance skill development in all domains.
- Use a variety of appropriate guidance and classroom management techniques, including positive reinforcement and age-appropriate strategies.
- Responsible for food handling, medication administration, first aid, and maintaining confidentiality; report suspected abuse/neglect as a mandatory reporter.
- Identify and report children's individual growth using portfolios, online tools, and observation; communicate with families.
Contact may involve support of controversial positions or the negotiation of sensitive issues, stressful or complex interactions with the community, and requires high levels of tact and the ability to respond to escalated interpersonal interactions.
Technical KnowledgeWork requires intermediate skills and knowledge in approaches and systems, which support the design and implementation of major programs and/or processes.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED and must hold current Early Childhood Teacher certification per Colorado State Licensing requirements.
- 1 year of experience in a related field
