Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working with high school students in a special education setting

- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse student abilities and needs
- Proficiency in differentiating instruction and employing behavioral management strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to students with varying disabilities, ensuring access to the general education curriculum
- Assess student progress, document outcomes, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and related services staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and academic development
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
