We are seeking a meticulous HVAC Estimator to join our Office department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the pre-construction phase by preparing accurate estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring competitive and reliable pricing that supports our commitment to profitability and client trust. • Assist in evaluating prospective bid opportunities to identify viable projects for the company.
• Prepare job budgets, estimates, and proposals for customers, including detailed breakdowns of material, labor, and equipment costs for HVAC installations and services.
• Track and obtain customer updates on pending estimates not yet awarded to maintain accurate pipeline visibility.
• Maintain comprehensive job records, including open bids, bids lost, bids awarded, and jobs completed, to support reporting and analysis.
• Interface with Senior Estimator and Project Managers on jobs awarded to the company to facilitate smooth handoffs and project execution.
• Assist in the review of completed jobs to refine future estimates and improve accuracy based on lessons learned.
• Prepare HVAC job estimates and quotations using Auto Bid Sheet Metal (formerly Quickpen) software to streamline the bidding process.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project specifications and ensure alignment with overall project goals.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to develop precise and comprehensive cost estimates.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify requirements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material pricing, and market conditions to provide competitive and value-driven estimates.
• Perform sales and purchasing responsibilities as directed, including sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors.
• Network with new potential customers to generate bid opportunities and expand the company's client base.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Education
  :
  High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience
  : 3+ years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a proven track record in preparing accurate bids for installations and services.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Proficiency in Auto Bid Sheet Metal (formerly Quickpen) software; familiarity with blueprints, specifications, and estimating tools like Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of HVAC systems and components is essential.
• Soft Skills
  :
  Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
