Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities related to integration, assembly, testing, and checkout (IATC) of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines to include digital and analog signal processing, high power RF transmitters, receivers, antennas, antenna positioning systems, computers, and computer interfaces.
- Perform calibration and verification of radar and microwave systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and DoD standards.
- Analyze IQ data and apply DSP techniques for radar performance validation.
- Develop and execute calibration procedures for RF, microwave, and digital signal processing equipment.
- Use MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize radar system accuracy and reliability.
- Document calibration results and maintain traceability to national/international standards.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex measurement issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field plus 2 years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 0 years; OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in IQ data analysis, radar fundamentals, microwave engineering, DSP, and MATLAB.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
- Eligible to obtain a work visa for international travel.
- Comfortable traveling 50% of the time between Eglin AFB (Florida) and Western Australia.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of radar system theory.
- Experience with source control management tools (e.g., Git Lab).
- Familiarity with Range-Doppler map interpretation and analysis.
- PMEL experience or prior calibration work on radar systems.
