Tetra Tech is adding a fully remote Structural Engineer to our Asset Management team based in Colorado Springs. This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.
Your RoleTetra Tech is an industry leader in Infrastructure Asset Management Services. We complete numerous facility, infrastructure, and utility condition assessments and inventory collection projects for government and commercial clients worldwide each year. Our assessments include an asset inspection and engineering analysis of the level of maintenance and history, failure trends, root cause analyses, and work requirements to be accomplished that establishes the physical and mechanical condition of an asset.
Tetra Tech seeks architects, engineers, and technicians qualified to assess electrical, mechanical, fire protection, exteriors including roofs, interiors, and other facility systems, as well as linear utility systems, stormwater, wastewater, water, electrical, natural gas, pavement, steam, or compressed air.
- Support project managers in evaluation of emerging and innovative technologies via research, design and testing of emergent technologies.
- Management of subcontractors.
- Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing.
- Develop technical specifications, scopes and cost estimates to support procurement of subcontractors for vertical, horizontal, and infrastructure assets., and assist evaluation of bids and pricing.
- Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures (using GIS ad CADD staff).
- Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
- Task and project management, including planning and implementing asset management projects, structural analysis, recommendations, structural design support, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
- Business development; potentially including new and existing clients, leading proposal preparation.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Occasional travel to client sites and other locations, as requested.
- Other duties as may be assigned and may include periodic field work.
