What We're Doing
Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2

BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.

The Work
Successful candidate will perform requirements elicitation using behavioral artifacts such as use cases that are used both to understand and to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system. Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.

Candidate needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice. Work will be performed under the direction of the C2

BMC Systems Engineering Manager and Product Owner, the Core Systems Engineering team lead, and support various project engineers as well as to interface with team members, C2

BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available. Responsibilities include adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts as-required. Candidate will be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, providing status, and supporting agile team leadership.

-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.

-The role will involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. Who We Are

Basic Qualifications:

• A final secret clearance is required prior to starting

• Demonstrated ability to translate high level needs into a structured set of integrated requirements that resulted in a fielded product.

• Understanding of systems engineering processes and principles with a proven track record of applying them to develop solutions.

• Hands on experience in requirements elicitation, including the use of behavior diagrams, use cases, and other analysis tools.

• Proven capability to create core SE artifacts (specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).

• Experience working in integrated, cross disciplinary teams of systems, software, and specialty engineers.

• Demonstrated skill in interacting with customers to gather requirements and with stakeholders to convey requirement intent.
