The selected candidate will be working with experienced professionals supporting the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2

BMC) program for the Missile Defense Agency. What We're Doing Our C2

BMC Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.

The Work As a Systems Engineer Intern on the team, you will role supporting the Experiments Team doing engineering and analysis of a large missile defense experimentation lab on the C2

BMC program. The selected candidate will be paired with more experienced engineers to design, implement, integrate, and test prototypes to further the development of C2

BMC capabilities. Intern will be expected to work with mentors in developing their knowledge and skillset as needed. Who We Are As leader of the C2

Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and our project engineering team.

Basic Qualifications:

** Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government Secret security clearance. ** - Be enrolled in an Engineering or other related STEM degree such as Mathematics, Technology or Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

- Experience with Engineering, Robotics, Chemistry, Math or Physics through college courses or previous internships is required.

- Must possess good problem-solving skills - Must be able to work as a member of a team in a dynamic, high-paced environment

Skills:

- Exposure to AI preferred.

- Exposure to design and creation of applications; blend of theoretical knowledge with practical application; data science concepts.

- Must possess good verbal and written communications skills.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 - $77,788.
