JOBSUMMARY
This position is for a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Modeler supporting the program. The selected candidate will serve as a senior member of the Digital Engineering team and will be responsible for developing, sustaining, and improving MBSE models, processes, and team execution in support of program objectives.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Develop and maintain high-quality MBSE models, including identifying authoritative and reference data sources to support model requirements.
- Establish workflows and processes to feed and sustain models with accurate data at the appropriate cadence.
- Develop MBSE models and support the MBSE team with implementation of team processes, task planning, and execution.
- Provide training and coaching to junior team members on MBSE practices and modeling tools.
- Maintain strong technical relationships with government customers and internal and external partner organizations.
- Support development of the full Digital Engineering lifecycle for the program.
- Develop and deliver technical briefings to stakeholders.
- Lead or represent the team in workshops and collaborative working sessions.
- Interface with MBSE leadership, technical leads, product owners, management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within resource constraints.
- Review technical and procedural products and provide recommendations on content and technical details.
- Actively participate in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning and status activities.
- Extensive experience developing UML and SysML models using Dassault Systems CAMEO and Teamwork Cloud (TWC) or similar modeling platforms such as IBM Rhapsody or SPARX Enterprise Architect.
- Strong understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and how MBSE differs from traditional systems engineering methodologies.
- Experience working with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) Classic.
- Experience managing requirements derivation, allocation, and traceability using DOORS and CAMEO.
