Position: Space Weapons & Tactics SME with Security Clearance
Title:

Space Weapons & Tactics SME K  is seeking a Weapons, Tactics, and Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide on-site support to Headquarters Combat Forces Command (HQ CFC) located on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. A strong candidate has operational weapons and tactics shop experience in space mission areas. In this position, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

* Organize and execute USSF Tactics Review Board.

* Document, review and track Tactics Improvement Proposals (TIPs).

* Support Mission Focused Working Groups (MFWGs).

* Coordinate USSF generated Air Force Tactics, Techniques and Procedures 3-1 and USSF Tactical Doctrine documentation.

* Organize, schedule, and attend Weapons and Tactics meetings with Space Delta Weapons Officers and Instructors.

* Organize, schedule, and attend the Tactics Analysis Team (TAT) event with HQ CFC Intelligence Directorate.

* Facilitate the analysis, identification, and prioritization of purposed Space Deltas Threat Priority Lists (TPLs).

* Liaise with Mission Area Teams and provide Subject Matter Expertise on current and future USSF capabilities.

* Analyze current and future capabilities to identify and resolve tactical deficiencies.

* Coordinate with HQ CFC divisions and Space Deltas to generate annual training objectives.

* Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.

Qualifications:

Required:

* An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.

* 3 years of weapons and tactics or training experience.

* Firm understanding of space capabilities.

* Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, CFC, STARCOM or equivalent.

* Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations.

* Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Accustomed to professionally working with military senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.

* A proactive and adaptable self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities and rapidly pivot across multiple work responsibilities.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, staff, and stakeholders across internal and external organizations.

* A methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving, with experience following established protocols, developing solutions, and documenting outcomes.

* Must be willing and able to work daily within a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Desired:
* Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.

* In-depth experience with U.S. Space Force weapon systems, platforms, and mission areas.

* Prior experience serving on a headquarters staff for a military Service, Combatant Command, Field/Major Command, or an equivalent high-level organization.

* Experience with Joint- or Service-level weapons and tactics development.

* Enterprise Task Management Tool proficiency. Scheduled Weekly

Standard Basic Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 This range is for Colorado only. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
