Water Resources Senior Engineer

Position Summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a licensed professional Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Storm Water Drainage team in Colorado Springs, CO.

With 10-15 years of experience, the engineer will manage design, permitting, and construction services for the assigned project efficiently and responsibly, leading project delivery from start to finish without oversight and focusing on quality, schedule, and cost commitments. After the initial six months of project delivery, the role will shift toward business development.

• Manage design, permitting, and construction services for the assigned project efficiently and responsibly.
• Lead project delivery from start to finish, meeting project quality, schedule, and cost commitments, delegating work to junior and mid‑level staff as appropriate.
• Complete site designs, perform hydraulics and hydrology calculations, and design stormwater infrastructure, grading, erosion control, and drainage plans.
• Participate in and adhere to our safety program, ensuring all team members comply with safety requirements.
• Manage and mentor junior staff to ensure designs and plans are compiled, on time, and of high quality.
• Maintain positive client relationships regularly.

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in water resources, including stormwater drainage.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, or the ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Micro Station Open Roads is desirable.
• Experience with drainage‑related software such as HEC‑RAS, PC‑SWMM, SRH2D, FLOD2D, Info Works ICM, HY‑8, and others.
• Proficiency in performing drainage analysis, planning, and facility design.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Existing relationships with clients in Colorado Springs and surrounding area preferred.

$150,000 - $200,000+ (depending on experience).
