Description
We’re dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
TheWork
This position will perform some or all of the following duties, concentrating on early‑phase (concept, requirements, and design) activities of the Systems‑Engineering Development Lifecycle.
Note:
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. The role will involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.

- An interim secret clearance is required for consideration.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering process.
- Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, etc.
- Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (e.g., aero‑maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper‑glide, countermeasures, etc.).
- Modeling and analysis experience in aspects of the missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground‑based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), Fire Control, C2
BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, etc.). - Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work schedule:
4‑x‑10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
Experience Level: Experienced Professional.
