Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support engineering and infrastructure projects within the energy sector. This role serves as a key technical contributor across the full project lifecycle—supporting planning, design, coordination, and execution of multi-discipline engineering work.
The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and field teams to ensure engineering deliverables are accurate, compliant, and aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget. Candidates may come from a variety of engineering backgrounds, including mechanical, civil, process, electrical, instrumentation & controls, or integrity engineering, with preference given to those with Oil & Gas experience.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a technical point of contact for assigned projects and engineering deliverables
- Support the development of project scope, objectives, and technical requirements
- Perform engineering calculations, evaluations, and technical analyses to support design decisions
- Prepare and review specifications for equipment, materials, and systems
- Coordinate engineering inputs across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Review drawings and technical documents to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability
- Participate in QA/QC activities to maintain engineering standards and consistency
- Evaluate designs for safety, reliability, cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
- Communicate technical changes, assumptions, and design intent to project teams
- Interface with regulatory agencies, surveyors, and third-party vendors as needed
- Support project schedules and actively manage workload across multiple assignments
- Promote safe work practices and uphold company safety expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within Oil & Gas or energy infrastructure
- Background in one or more of the following disciplines:
Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls, Pipeline Integrity/Corrosion - Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred;
Professional Engineer (PE) a plus - Working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices
