K  is seeking a mission-level combat modeler to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualified candidates should be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts containing skills spanning a range of disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is required.
** Responsibilities:
*** Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
* Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
* The analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff

Skills and Experience:

*** Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
* 5+ years of experience
* Experience conducting modeling, simulation, and analyses with AFSIM
* Experience in DoD space and/or joint force programs
* High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
* An active TS/SCI clearance

Skills and Experience:

*** Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
* Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
* Experience with Python, Opt Def, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Java
* Experience with data transformations and data visualization
* Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
* Experience with BI Tools
* Experience with Excel VBA

** Compensation:
*** For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $130,000 - $140,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
