M&S Civil Consultants, Inc. is a civil engineering and surveying company in Colorado Springs, CO with about 12 employees. We specialize in land development, surveying, engineering and construction surveying for residential subdivisions, commercial subdivisions, industrial sites, and public work projects. We prepare necessary plans, reports and documents to plan, entitle, design, construct, and certify land development projects.
Position OverviewM&S Civil Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Professional Surveyor, Field Surveyor, Civil Engineer, Civil Engineer EIT, Designer, or Draftsman in Land Development to join our team. The candidate will have experience in land development engineering or surveying and will provide technical expertise to support the planning and execution of land development projects. Responsibilities include managing tasks related to entitlement, design, and processing of land development projects.
PositionQualifications
- Experience in land development project engineering and drafting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in land surveying.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related civil engineering software.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Develop plans, reports, and documents for land development projects.
- Oversee the design and quality assurance of plans produced.
- Review projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
- Prepare engineering plans, reports, and related documents, including grading, erosion control, utilities, roads, and drainage. Experience in water resources is a plus.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the engineering team.
- Identify and resolve complex land development issues with reviewing agencies.
- Oversee and manage project timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
