Position: Technical Designer III – New Glenn Upper Stage, PA

Responsibilities

  • Build, modify, and maintain CAD models of spacecraft layouts, including but not limited to structures and mechanisms, avionics and power, fluids and propulsion, thermal, crew systems, and ground support equipment in Creo Parametric using top‑down design principles.
  • Develop interface control models and interface control drawings.
  • Export CAD representations for system level analysis and integration.
  • Assess configuration designs through concept development, interface management, procurement, assembly, integration, testing, and operations support.
  • Coordinate with configurators, architects, and discipline leads to develop and maintain interface control and ensure seamless integration for the production phase.
  • Apply relevant company and industry part design and drafting techniques to plan, layout, and maintain data representing the engineering designs as they evolve.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience working in Pro Engineer/Creo with Windchill familiarity.
  • Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawing releases.
  • Experience creating fabrication and installation drawings.
  • Successful candidates typically have 5+ years of related experience in automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle hardware.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
