Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX | Chicago, IL | Denver, CO (Centennial) | Minneapolis, MN | Muscatine, IA | Remote
Job Type: Hybrid
Responsibilities- Plan and implement medium- to large multiple‑discipline engineering projects with various stakeholders across multiple office locations.
- Support business development through project scoping, fee development, proposal preparation, interviews, negotiations, and contract development.
- Submit documents to federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and obtain required permits.
- Meet with client management as necessary to resolve issues and obtain approvals at project completion.
- Maintain a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.
- Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate project engagements.
- Prepare project opening orders, outlines, initiation documents, schedules, executions, and closings.
- Achieve project objectives including quality scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project records.
- Achieve project performance metrics such as target margins, revenue, and multiplier.
- Analyze project performance, resource utilization, profitability, margins, and revenues.
- Identify and manage potential out‑of‑scope work and negotiate contract change orders.
- Identify and manage project risk from proposal through completion.
- Demonstrate understanding of key commercial elements associated with energy projects.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, construction management, or business from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 7+ years of increasing experience in the Energy Engineering Industry with at least 5 years in project management.
- Experience in Thermal Generation projects such as Gas Turbine and Reciprocating Engines.
- Firm understanding of financial management.
- Demonstrated success in managing large multi‑discipline programs, multi‑office projects, and/or multiple projects.
- Outstanding time management skills.
- MBA
- PE license
- PMI Certification
