Anti-Tamper Systems/Hardware Engineer – Colorado Springs, CO

Position Overview

Support anti‑tamper efforts for the National Team Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2

BMC) Programs & Networks within Boeing’s Missile Defense Program.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with MDA (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). C2

    BMC leadership on updates and changes to the C2

    BMC system.
  • Perform Anti‑Tamper Risk and Threat Management Assessments and reports for the C2

    BMC program.
  • Develop the analysis process and prepare the AT plan, providing coordination and input for near‑term fielding decisions.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain the C2

    BMC AT Plan, C2

    BMC AT Evaluation Plan, C2

    BMC Key Management Plan, and the C2

    BMC Program Protection Plan.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, Defense Exportability Assessments, and defense export strategy.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain waivers for CPI, AT, or defense exportability features.
  • Assess program Anti‑Tamper designs and implementation plans in support of verification and validation (V&V) efforts.
  • Develop and deliver recommendations to improve program protection while meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Identify risk‑based technical countermeasures for the protection of C2

    BMC Critical Program Information and Critical Components.
  • Brief Anti‑Tamper and Program Protection requirements and prepare white papers and evaluations as required.
  • Support program milestone reviews and Fielding Decisions, verifying entrance criteria is satisfied by having the Anti‑Tamper and Program Protection products approved.
  • Interact with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness.
  • Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans.
  • Keep senior management informed of major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent related field (ABET accreditation preferred).
  • Minimum 9 years of related work experience.
  • Active IAT Level 2 certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary, multi‑site team.
  • Ability to analyze high‑level needs and refine them into an evolving minimum viable product (MVP) leading to a fielded product.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective presentation of technical approaches and findings.
  • Experience writing and implementing engineering plans within a project.
  • Proven teamwork experience.
  • Background in engineering automation pipelines to enable effective development in rapidly changing environments.
  • Understanding of anti‑tampering and exportability concerns and how to apply secure hardware/software methodologies.
  • Self‑starter capable of initiating research and documenting results clearly.
Security Clearance

Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required (active within the past 24 months). U.S. citizenship required. Background investigation by U.S. government authorities required for access to an MDA facility.

Location & Work

100% onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. 1st shift. The position may require access to an MDA facility.
