Tetra Tech is an industry leader in Asset Management Services. Tetra Tech executes facility and infrastructure condition assessments (FCAs) for government and commercial clients. An FCA is an asset inspection and engineering analysis of maintenance history, failure trends, root-cause conditions, system deficiencies, and repair or replacement requirements used to establish the physical, civil/structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, utility, and infrastructure condition of an asset.

Clients use FCA data as a planning tool for short and long-term budget requests. Tetra Tech is seeking a qualified technical QC analyst who can do more than process data; the successful candidate will analyze field-collected assessment records, backcheck observations against photographs and narratives, identify inconsistent or unsupported findings, validate deficiency logic, and support defensible project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical quality control review and analysis of facility condition assessment data, including confirming field observations, asset inventory, system quantities, condition ratings, deficiency characterization, inventory and evidence photographs, and repair/replacement recommendations.
  • Manage, validate, and reconcile project data including reports in Excel format, BUILDER/BRED exports using MS Access database containers, field markups, photos and other project reference files used to support QC review and final deliverable construction.
  • Use, develop, and optimize queries, scripts, macros and automated checks using tools such as MS SQL Server, Excel, Access, VBA, Python, Power Shell, or similar technologies to identify anomalies and improve QC workflows.
  • Perform occasional interior and exterior facility assessments of buildings, structures, utilities, and other real property assets across structural/architectural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection, pavements, and utility network disciplines. Work is typically performed in teams of 2 assessors with the assessment focus split based on personnel experience and training.
  • Conduct inventory and condition assessments of building systems consistent with the UNIFORMAT convention per ASTM E1557, identifying building components, documenting deficiencies, and evaluating whether collected data is reasonable based on system type, age, observed condition, expected service life, and construction context.
  • Evaluate whether deliverables created from collected facility data are defensible in the context of established business rules by comparison against field notes, photographs, system descriptions, construction type, age, and expected system behavior; elevate questionable findings to the QC Manager or project team for resolution.
  • Field work on-site in both…
