The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

The Space Control and Awareness Department (SCAD) is seeking a new team member to support mission analyses . SCAD performs concept development, systems engineering, architecture analysis, algorithm development and evaluation support for national security space customers emphasizing space domain awareness (SDA), Radar, Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) sensors, electronic warfare (EW), directed energy (DE) effects, orbit determination, and space protection and security.

The Space Domain Awareness and Space Control Analyst ( Member of Technical Staff - Modeling & Simulation and Signal & Image Process Engineering) will provide project and technical leadership, analytical support, algorithm development, systems engineering and architecting, and modeling and simulation analysis for space protection , space threat susceptibility , directed energy analysis, and space domain awareness . Candidate will interact directly with government customers as well as Aerospace program office personnel in the Colorado Springs area and collaborate closely with Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) and program office personnel in El Segundo, CA, Chantilly, VA, and other locations.

Work Model:
This is a 100% on-site position located in Colorado Springs, CO. What You'll Be Doing
* Provide astrodynamic analytical support, algorithm development, systems engineering and architecting, and modeling and simulation analysis for space surveillance system sand missions.
* Conduct a range of analysis using a framework of modeling, simulation and analysis capabilities including in-house, custom and commercially available/government provided modeling tools
* Analyze electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR), radar and passive radio frequency sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
* Perform space protection and space threat susceptibility, vulnerability analysis and resiliency assessment.
* Support exercises of spacesystemsand evaluate exercise and training requirements.
* Application of modeling and simulation for mission operations
* Contribute to risk and resilience assessments over a broad range of threats to satellite operations including, but not limited to, RF and optical interference and counter space threats.
* Support other focus areas of the department, which could include modeling and risk assessments of kinetic threats (such as debris, collision, and disposal), Space Domain Awareness, and mission operations.

Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or another related technical discipline
* Demonstrated experience within the SDA, space control mission areas or MW/MT/MD mission areas
* 2 or more years of increasingly responsible and related engineering/scientific experience
* Experience in modeling, simulation, analysis, and/or algorithm development
